INFO:
Voiceprints was presented by La Mama Poetica as part of The Melbourne International Festival, and featured a program of immersive performances by poets and sound poets. The outcome was an eclectic "polypoetry" setting, that included the use of visual art, performance, musical composition and movement. The set design was inspired by the late Indigenous Poet, Lisa Bellear and her contributions to La Mama Poetica. Voiceprints aimed to introduce audiences to new and challenging poetic forms, including techno-automatic writing, Sufi-inspired World Jazz and poetry-in-motion.
